Colorado Event Photographer
Photographer Joseph Jestes is a native to Colorado.

Little did I know that a seed would be planted, and two of my passions were about to collide while attending the 30th Anniversary Food & Wine Classic and the following years with Heritage Fire & Cochon555. Finding myself surrounded by like-minded people created a new direction for me both personally and professionally, by celebrating culture through photography.
Creating images has the only thing that surpasses my love for cooking. For over a decade I have been creating images of everything from corporate events & weddings, family portraits to product photography for small businesses. I have served as staff photographer for several publications and a contributing photographer for many others.
Of all the people over the years that I have admired and looked up to, from both within and outside the creative industries I have to give credit to this discovery of passion to my amazing and beautiful wife Lauren. It was through her equally and never ending passion that encouraged me to combine my pursuit of photography and my love for community.

Outside of photography my wife and I keep a small garden, a flock of hens for eggs, foster many dogs and love to travel, usually surrounding food & wine related events. I admittedly have a small, yet serious, vintage Italian scooter obsession; also ride my motorcycle as often as possible.
As a Colorado native absolutely love being outdoors in this amazing state. We love to take our dogs camping and for the occasional hike. We have fostered over thirty dogs for the Denver Dumb Friends League, The Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue and the Doberman Rescue of Colorado, which we have also been volunteering with for about a decade.
In addition to holding an Associate’s Degree in Photography I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Photography, continuing education is very important to me and my Bachelor of Fine Arts has been a long-term goal. This keeps pushing my photographic boundaries as well as creating new challenges for me in and outside of photography as work allowing me to explore the medium as purely art, which is absolutely brilliant.
